LOST: The Final Season
Today the end begins. I've been watching 'Lost' since its first season. Our relationship has had many ups and downs, but this year I'm determined to be a loyal viewer. "It's Tuesday night, and I really want to hang out with Tim!" you might say. "Oh right, he's watching 'Lost'."

Getting My Hands Dirty
I've been a real slacker when it comes to my photography. I haven't really branched out and tried anything new in a couple of years. Honestly, I'm still not in love with my digital camera. I miss film and the darkroom and the excitement of shooting in black and white. The days of grain and grit are gone my friends; Photoshop filters can (insert offensive phrase of choice here). However, I'm 24, not 57, and it's time to stop being such a crotchety old man and enjoy digital photography.
I'm not only embracing my digital friend, I'm using new subject matter. I love photographing people. Bone structure, facial expression, body language gives me a feeling, tells me a story. Lately, I've been photographing inanimate objects. A thing can be an extension of its owner. I'm trying to capture its personality.
It's cold outside! Interiors are my new thing.

How to Save a Cow
I have officially been a Pescetarian for a month. All applaud. Feeling good about saving lives and eating well. We'll discuss this further once another month has passed (don't worry, February is short).
I still got it
"You look good for '85!" says the clerk, adding that I looked like I might not 'make it' after checking my ID for a pack of cigs. 17-year-old's these days must look old.

Christmas is tomorrow
So, I've decided to start a blog (for myself, mostly). The goal is to keep myself accountable as an artist and a person of ideas.
Today I was looking at IMDb's Top 250 movie list, and I can't believe how many of them I still haven't seen. I've been an avid IMDb user for at least 10 years, perusing the pages as a young high school student, imagining I was either making a movie or living in one. Now, at the age of 24, I find myself continuing the pattern.
(note: this may all just be boredom talking... I'm at home for Christmas with no friends and no booze, desperately looking for an outlet. However, I would like to keep myself on track in the coming year. I'm hoping this blog will give me a reason to take more photos, watch more films and simply write down what I'm thinking. You never know what great idea might arise while type-typing away, getting carpel tunnel and losing my vision in the wee hours of the morning.)
All this to say, I really need to start watching more of the movies on that list, especially the older ones. I'm realizing that I've never given Sergio Leone a real chance -- probably cause he makes westerns. Still, I really should. Time to find a copy of 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' and 'Once Upon a Time in the West'.
